The Chennai City Urban Health Mission proposes to engage following staff to work in
Urban Health & Wellness center of Greater Chennai Corporation under National Urban
Health Mission on contractual basis. The details of vacancies and minimum educational
qualification are given below.

Medical Officer : 140 Posts
Salary Rs. 60,000/-
MBBS Degree awarded by a University or Institution recognized
by the UGC for the purpose of its grants. The courses must have been
approved by the Medical Council of India.
Age Limit : Below 40 Years

Staff Nurse -140 Posts
Salary Rs. 18,000/-
Candidates should possess a Diploma in GNM / B.Sc.,
(Nursing) from Government or Government approved private
Nursing Colleges which are recognized by the Indian Nursing
Council. (Registered under Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council)
Age Limit : Below 50 Years

MPHW / MultiPurpose Health Worker (Health
Inspector – Grade II) – Male : 140 Posts
Salary Rs. 14,000/-
i) Must have passed plus two with Biology or Botany and Zoology.
ii) Must have passed Tamil language as a subject in SSLClevel.
iii) Must possess two years of Multipurpose Health worker (male)
/ Health Inspector / Sanitary Inspector course training /
offered by recognized private institution/ Trust/ Universities
/Deemed Universities including Gandhigram Rural Institute
Training course certificate granted by the Director of Public Health
and Preventive Medicine.
Age Limit : Below 50 Years

Support Staff – 140 Posts
Salary Rs. 8,500/-
Should have studied minimum 8th Standard.
Age Limit : Below 50 Years

Conditions of recruitment
 Contract Period is for 11 months.
 The Candidate shall not claim any rights for permanency in the job. The job will be
with the Chennai City Urban Health Mission Society and not directly with the Greater
Chennai Corporation.
 The Selected candidates need to sign an agreement with Chennai City Urban Health
Mission.
 The Working hours for the Urban Health & Wellness Centre will be from 8 AM to 12
PM & 4 PM to 8 PM

The list of self-attested documents & photo copies to be attached along with the filled
application form:
1. Evidence of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate / SSLC / HSC certificate).
2. Evidence of Educational Qualification and Marks for
a. Medical Officer – (SSLC/HSC/Final Year mark sheet/Internship completion
certificate/MBBS Degree Certificate).
b. Staff Nurse – (SSLC/HSC/Diploma/B.Sc., Degree – Provisional or Degree
certificate /Final Year mark sheet).
c. MPHW / Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Health Inspector -Grade II) – Male –
(SSLC/HSC/Degree/Diploma/Health Inspector or Sanitary Inspector course
training Certificate).
3. Evidence for Tamil eligibility (10th or 12th standard marks).
4. Community Certificate issued by the Revenue Department.
5. Proof of residency:
a. Nativity Certificate issued by the Revenue Department
b. Voter ID
c. Panchayat / Municipality / Corporation / Tax receipt
d. Aadhar Card
e. Ration Card
6. Certificate of Character and conduct issued by a Group A or Group B Officer working
in Government. The Certificate should be a recent one issued within 3 months prior to
the notification (applicable for all the applicants including fresh graduates).
7. Certificate of Character and conduct issued by the Head of the Institution where the
candidate had undergone the course or currently studying.
8. In the case of a differently-abled person, a Certificate from a Government Medical
Officer to the effect that the candidate is fit enough to discharge the duties assigned
along with the percentage of Disability.
9. Certified evidence for work experience from the any other Health Care Institutions.
10. Certified evidence for work experience during COVID-19 pandemic in Government
Institutions from a competent authority.
11.No objection certificate from the competent authority (if applicable)
12.Any other special records of significance from competent authorities as indicated in
the selection criteria mentioned.
